Mora Clock Love....

I love these gorgeous clocks. They are super expensive for antique pieces & even the repro's can be pricey. I'm going to look for them at Brimfield this spring & see if I can treat myself to one. They had reproduction ones in the 800.00 price range, If I remember correctly. I actually read a blog where the blogger knew of a lucky person who bought an authentic antique swedish mora clcok on craigs list for 50 bucks! I've been checking craigs list regularly since I read that blog. What do you think of these clocks?
Going to do some blog redecorating in the next few weeks & posting some of the projects I've been working on with chalk paint. Hope to be blogging more now & catching up on reading my favorite blogs. Have a great week~ xo P.S. These beautiful pics are curtesy of the web~

  1. I have a reproduction by Henry Miller. Mine is black, but I have plans this year to make it chippy grey/white. Would love to own an original. My hubbie is Swedish....

    Hugs to you!

    1. Penny PLEASE post pics when you are done painting it. I just painted a small repro mora wall clock (it was black) & made it gray, outlined in old white trim. I love it & know I will love yours! xo

The clocks are lovely. With your nice taste you could surely absorb one perfectly into your home.
So happy to read you'll be posting more photos and blogging a little more. The Groundhog said
6 more weeks of winter so I hope you northeasterners can handle that! Once spring comes you'll
probably be even more inspired. Enjoy your day.

  5. I like the beige distressed clocks better than the blue or green. Although if there was an orange one I'm sure I would love that one! haha! I can't wait to see pictures of what you have been working on!! always love it all and you <3

  6. HI Chris, I was just looking around your pretty blog! I see you are in Massachusetts too. I love the clocks, and when I was in Brimfield in Sept the repro ones were as pricey as the real deals~?? I can't understand it, but I guess if someone wanted one bad enough they would settle and buy the repro. I know how it is to go there looking for something and not finding it. I only saw one real one. But I read on Lone Ranger Antiques that he will be in Brimfield in May!! So I hope to see many lovely clocks.
